Our 2012 large grant of $25,000 went to Youth Empowered Solutions (YES!) a nonprofit focused on empowering youth, in partnership with adults, to create community change.

YES! used the funds to implement a youth-driven advocacy approach that will result in the establishment of a school-based health center in Southeast Raleigh to serve as a medical home for adolescents who are uninsured and underinsured. They will also work to increase the capacity of existing youth-serving organizations in Raleigh to apply a youth empowerment framework to their mission.
